Official fueLCNG Project Kick Off

The objective of the fueLCNG project is to create a new type of ecological LNG fuel for heavy duty segments and to build a new modern and innovative CNG infrastructure on the main transport corridors of the SR.

The SPP fueLCNG project was supported by the European Union as part of the call for a Connecting Europe Facility announced by the European Commission's Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) in October 2016. The fueLCNG project is in line with the National Policy framework for the development of the alternative fuel market and is supported by the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic. The financial contribution of the SPP for this project is 15%. Pilot traffic is planned for 2019, with full use of the new infrastructure expected by the end of 2020.
